The West Ashley High School Band Program offers two color guard classes during the school day. Beginner Color Guard/JV
The Beginner Guard is designed for any student, in good standing, who has the desire to learn dance, choreography, and equipment (flag, rifle, & sabre) techniques. The beginner guard will perform twice in the Spring at a Carolina Winter Ensemble sanctioned event and the South Carolina Band Director's Association Winter Ensemble Championships. Students must register for this class with Mr. Shealy's recommendation. "BEETLEJUICE"  Students enrolled in the Advanced Guard class must also participate in the West Ashley High School Marching Band in the Fall. The Advanced Guard will perform five times in the Spring at Carolina Winter Ensemble Events including the CWEA Championships & The South Carolina Band Director's Association Winter Ensemble Championships. Students must register for this class with Mr. Shealy's recommendation. The West Ashley H.S. Varsity Winterguard is proud to present their 2012 show entitled:"WALKING ON BROKEN GLASS"
